"Our first skiing trip as a family. We were all beginners apart from my husband who hadn't snowboard for over 20 years. My husband said it was the best hotel and resort he has stayed at ever. I almost didn't book because of the few negative reviews left here but our close friends have stayed here before and I am so glad we stayed here! ||We paid extra for the stunning mountain view room. There was a bedroom and lounge (no kitchen) with the lounge sofa converted into two beds for our pre-teens. Having two bathrooms was an unexpected bonus!||The hotel is in the Eucherts part of La Roisere, which was our preferred part of the resort (less busy and nicer restaurants). The bakery and restaurants are opposite the hotel. Then a few minutes beyond that are the nursery slopes and chair lifts. We hired our ski equipments from Ekosport (on-site hire shop) who were brilliant in helping me get the right boots (small feet but wide calfs!). We gratefully used the heated equipment lockers at the hotel everyday - it was so convenient! It is not a ski in and out hotel but this suited us learners. ||We enjoyed private and group skiing lessons with ESF (brilliant) and group snowboarding lessons with Evolution 2 (my husband loved it!). ||The luxury hotel spa was a great addition to the stay. I personally love the fact that children are allowed in the spa. It was never busy during our visits. The hot tub isn't was warm as in the UK but still warm enough for a long soak. ||We had secure and dry underground parking for our hire car. ||We want to return to Alpen Lodge and will probably rent an apartment with kitchen next time to have more food flexibility (food is pricey in La Roisere but do try Paradis on the slopes!)."
"Everything was perfect! Ideal location near the bottom of the lifts, large and clean spa, excellent breakfast buffet, modern rooms with comfortable beds and breathtaking views, delicious cocktails at the hotel bar, convenient ventilated ski lockers, … I would definitely stay there again!"
"We’ve just stayed here in summer 2024 and it was one of the best resort hotels we’ve stayed in, certainly in la rosier. Don’t know if this is the normal but it was quiet and had a lovely calm feel. Rooms were exceptionally comfortable. We were in a suite overlooking the valley and mountains beyond which was a stunning view. Facilities were excellent, with great spa treatments, sauna etc. the staff were very friendly and efficient. The hotel is across the road from the eucherts chair lift for the mountain. Overall we had an excellent stay and would come back in the summer without hesitation. I expect it would be busier in the winter and may have a different vibe. Only downside/ thing to be aware of was that the parking garage is limited to 2m in height so if you have a van/ tall roof rack you may not fit (we didn’t). In the summer you can park on the road outside without restriction but in the winter you can’t."
"Our family of 4 had an excellent stay in the hotel during an Easter skiing week. Hotel room C1 was a spacious, well furnished and spotless 2 bedroom apartment with stunning sunny balcony views. Great mattresses, shower and wifi.||Location is great, <100m across a quiet road from the main Eucherts lift. Well furnished and located Boot Room with heated lockers.||We really enjoyed the pool complex - large pool never too busy, good temperate, separated "hot" area with really good steam room and jacuzzi.||The half-board meals were a real highlight - a high quality and varied 3 course evening set menu, with great service too. Our 10 year old boy struggled with adult tastes, and the alternative child menu could be improved with a few more options for fussy eaters. Breakfast buffet had everything, and was always fresh and well presented."
"For me it was great place to stay, the room, the decoration, I felt a good ambiance everywhere. It was ski room, the property is dog friendly, the room was clean and the staff was nice. But there I ate one of the worse breakfast for 20 euros. In my opinion it worth 7-9 euro, so the second day I preferred to stay hungry going to slope, when normally I always take breakfasts in the hotels. You need either improve them either change the price."
